小时候我经常问姥姥：我们为什么不能把时间停留在我们最想要的那一刻呢？
后来我慢慢长大了，在语文课本上我知道了一寸光阴一寸金，寸金难买寸光阴，在大人的话语中我明白了，时间就是生命，时间就是我们所挽回不了的那位好朋友，虽然每天都重复地走着一圈又一圈，可是每一圈都是生命中不同的意义。
虽然背着朗朗上口的时间格言，但我却没有体会到时间生命般的意义。还记得那是一年级时，妈妈故意把钟表调快了十五分钟。那时我只学会了认识钟表，并不知道这玩意儿还可以调快，所以就没留太多的心眼。每天早上，我六点四十就起来了而妈妈却说：你看看现在已经七点了，作为一名小学生这就是这一天中新的起程了。我却无言以对，因为的确，时针指着七而分针指着十二，那时我还完全没有适应上学的作息时间表，每次起来吃饭都仿佛再吃梦餐。后来，我拥有了人生中第一块手表，有一次在比对中我发现我们家的钟表快了十五分钟，当时我十分气愤，看着那十五分钟我觉得我很傻，仿佛被一个隐身人给戏弄了。妈妈却对我说：你的对手就是时间，可是它却很情愿的谦让你十五分钟，涵涵你记住你在与时间赛跑！当时我只想问：怎么样才算赢啊？现在我想我可以解答这个问题了。与时间赛跑没有人会告诉你真正的胜负，而那成功的秘诀也是被我归为一句话：与时间赛跑就是把握好时间，利用时间。可是真正能做到的，却屈指可数，然而成功的人一定是会把握时间的人，他们会做到像鲁迅说的那样：我是把别人喝咖啡的时间都用在工作上了。

还记得那是五年级时，在一次上英语课之前，我们在教室里说话。英语老师进来后非常生气，就说：全体起立，看着钟表五分钟后坐下！霎那间，全班都很安静。而老师说我们必须看钟表站着，明白时间的意义与五分钟的漫长。当时我心里想：啊！站五分钟，得多累啊？我静静地看着钟表，这是从小到大，第一次亲眼看着五分钟慢慢地流去。钟表没有动，人没有动，然而钟表上的`指针却一点一点地走过了十二个数字，分分走过，每分钟那样快，我仔细想想自己平时是怎样度过一分钟的？一分钟的我通常在想自己以前的光荣事件，或思考一些很幼稚的问题，想象一下自己的梦想。可是却被别人列为发呆，有时人们通常把看着窗前无动作的人说成浪费时间，其实我认为这是很好的利用时间，人们只有敢想，爱思考才能有新的发现与成就。然而，可怕的是脑子里是一片空白的那种人，什么也不想。别人在看书，而她却左盼盼，右盼盼；别人在工作，而她端着一杯水看看其他人在干嘛；人们对浪费时间都有个很深的概念就是无所事事！那是因为她没有仔细观察过钟表，当他知道喝水的时间都超过一分钟，吃饭的时间至少是一天的十分之一，睡觉的时间是一天的三分之一，工作的时间也是一天的三分之一时，就会明白我们究竟还有多长时间是属于自己的，我们属于自己的时间非常少，我们所看到的五分钟只是个在我们眼中不起眼的小时间，我们总会说：在休息一会儿，还有五分钟。在看一会儿，还有五分钟呢。就这样，我们浪费了多少个，朋友请你好好算一算你还有多长时间可以说再等一会？所以往往我们不在意的时间，我们更要注意，因为世上万物都是有小变大的！如果我们用小时间做小事，那么许久以后形成的大时间那时的你一定会功成名就的！用一分钟去反省自己，去思考自己；去读一段终生有益的文章；去抒写一段报答妈妈养育之情的诗，她一定会兴奋不已的！
